Content Monitoring Policy
1. Purpose
The Content Monitoring Policy for Convesio, Inc. outlines the guidelines and procedures for monitoring content uploaded, shared, or published on the platform by users and merchants. The objective of this policy is to maintain a safe, reliable, and compliant environment for all users, protect against illegal or harmful content, and uphold the reputation of the platform.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all users, merchants, and any other individuals or entities utilizing Convesio’s commerce platform to create, upload, or share content, including but not limited to product listings, images, descriptions, reviews, and communication.
3. Content Guidelines
3.1. Acceptable Content:
- Content shared on the platform must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Product listings and descriptions should be accurate, clear, and not misleading to the customers.
- Content should not infringe on any intellectual property rights or copyrights.
3.2. Prohibited Content:
The following types of content are strictly prohibited on the platform:
- Content that promotes or engages in illegal activities or the sale of illegal products.
- Offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory content targeting individuals or groups based on their race, religion, ethnicity, gender, etc.
- Adult content, pornography, or explicit material.
- Counterfeit products or products violating trademark rights.
- Content that breaches the privacy or confidentiality of individuals or entities.
- Content and/or products that appear on Partners Prohibited and Restricted list.
3.3. Product Safety and Compliance:
- Merchants are responsible for ensuring that their products comply with safety standards and relevant regulations.
- The platform reserves the right to remove any products that are deemed unsafe or non-compliant.
3.4. Intellectual Property Rights:
- Merchants must not upload content that infringes on any intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, or patents.
- Convesio will respond to valid takedown notices from copyright or trademark owners promptly.
4. Content Review and Moderation
4.1. Automated Monitoring:
- The platform may use automated monitoring tools, including keyword filters and image recognition, to scan and analyze content for compliance.
- Automated monitoring helps identify potentially prohibited content and escalate it for human review.
- In addition, Convesio may leverage third party products to assess risk of newly onboarded sub-merchants that don’t have a long standing relationship with Convesio.
4.2. Manual Review and Moderation:
- Content uploaded by merchants and users will undergo manual review by the platform’s moderation team.
- Moderators will assess the content’s compliance with this policy and the platform’s guidelines.
- Moderators may take action to remove or restrict access to content that violates this policy.
- During the sales process, Convesio provides a consultation to a merchant to understand their business and ensure the business fits within an approved Convesio and Partner guidelines.
- In addition to automated monitoring, Convesio will perform a quarterly review on all commerce customers, reviewing website content to ensure the sub-merchant is selling what Convesio and Payment Partner has underwritten them for.
5. Reporting and User Feedback
5.1. User Reporting:
- Users are encouraged to report any content they find that violates the platform’s guidelines or this policy.
- Reporting mechanisms will be made easily accessible and visible on the platform.
5.2. Feedback Mechanism:
- The platform will provide a feedback mechanism for users to report false positive or incorrect content takedowns.
- The moderation team will review reported cases promptly and take corrective action as necessary.
6. Enforcement
6.1. Consequences of Violation:
- Content violating this policy will be promptly removed from the platform.
- Repeated violations or severe breaches may lead to temporary or permanent suspension of the merchant’s account.
7. Review and Updates
- This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with changing legal and industry requirements.
8. Acknowledgment
- All merchants and users will be required to acknowledge that they have read and understood this policy.
9. Effective Date
- This policy will become effective on Aug 1, 2023.
