If you run an agency or a platform with merchants underneath you, you’ve probably run into the same wall every payments-adjacent business eventually hits: your merchants need real payment processing, but building that infrastructure yourself — or bolting together a patchwork of white-label integrations, isn’t a real option.
Convesio for Platforms (CfP) is built to solve exactly that. It’s an API that lets agencies and platforms onboard their own sub-merchants directly into ConvesioPay’s payments infrastructure, under a single Platform Master account, without building a payments stack from scratch.
CfP’s core onboarding and merchant management API is now code-complete and is moving through active partner and agency testing.
What Convesio for Platforms Actually Does
Think of CfP as ConvesioPay’s infrastructure, made programmable for the businesses that sit between Convesio and the end merchant, agencies managing client stores, SaaS platforms with embedded commerce, or any business that needs to bring payment processing to the merchants it serves.
Instead of every sub-merchant going through a separate, manual onboarding process, CfP gives platforms a direct API to:
- Create merchant accounts programmatically, without manual onboarding for every new sub-merchant
- Generate Terms of Service and PCI DSS questionnaires automatically, with full signatory tracking built in
- Update merchant details after account creation through a dedicated endpoint
- Manage bank account details at the Platform Master level, with changes cascading down to sub-merchant accounts where applicable
This is the difference between a platform that bolts payments on as an afterthought and one that treats payments as infrastructure it actually owns.
Built Around a Platform Master Account Model
CfP is structured around a Platform Master account — a single entity that represents the agency or platform — with sub-merchants operating underneath it.
That structure matters for how money moves. Platform Master accounts can update their own bank account details, and those changes cascade down to the Orchestrator Fee bank accounts associated with sub-merchants. Individual sub-merchants under a CfP-managed platform don’t manage their own separate bank relationship, they operate under the Platform Master’s banking setup, which keeps fee collection and payout structures consistent across every merchant a platform onboards.
This is a deliberate design choice for platforms that need centralized control without losing the ability to onboard merchants at scale.
What’s Live Now
As of the most recent development milestone, the CfP and Agency Onboarding API is code-complete and ready for partner and agency testing. That includes:
- Create Merchant — account creation that triggers Terms of Service and PCI DSS Questionnaire generation automatically
- Generate Terms of Service — returns the full document along with all required signatories
- Generate PCI Questionnaire — same signatory-aware document generation, for compliance requirements
- Update Merchant — a dedicated endpoint for modifying merchant details post-creation
- Connected Integrations visibility — an endpoint to list connected integrations for any given sub-merchant
- Consistent authentication — every Platform API endpoint now authenticates the same way, using a Platform Secret Key alongside an
X-Merchant-Idheader, so integrating platforms aren’t managing multiple auth patterns across different parts of the API
The documentation for the full Platforms API is live now, covering the substantial majority of the feature set, with the remaining reference pages being finalized as the API approaches full general availability.
Why This Matters for Agencies and Platforms
If your business model depends on other merchants being able to accept payments — whether that’s a marketing agency managing client storefronts or a SaaS platform with embedded commerce, the payments layer isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s core infrastructure. And infrastructure that requires manual setup for every new merchant doesn’t scale.
CfP is built to remove that bottleneck. Onboarding a new sub-merchant becomes an API call instead of a manual process, compliance documentation generates automatically instead of getting chased down over email, and bank account management stays centralized instead of scattered across dozens of individual merchant relationships.
For platforms evaluating how to bring real payment processing to the merchants they serve, this is the kind of infrastructure that determines whether that motion scales or becomes a permanent operational drag.
Get Involved as a Partner
Convesio for Platforms is currently in active testing with partners and agencies. If you’re running a platform or agency that needs embedded payments infrastructure for the merchants you serve, this is the moment to get involved before general availability.
