This is done after you have created a new site and WordPress is installed.
Adding a Domain
- Go to the DOMAIN tab on the site dashboard.
- First, change the DNS A records to the appropriate IP address. You can use the LoadBalancer IPs or if you are using Convesio’s Cloudflare then you can reach out to support for the Cloudflare IP address. Those are the IPs you are pointing your domain to.
- Click to add the domain. Add both the www and non-www domain.
- Make one of the domains the Primary domain. Whichever domain is the primary domain then that’s the one being redirected to. That means if the non-www domain is the primary domain then the www domain just redirects to the non-www domain.
Adding SSL Certificate
- Go to the SECURITY tab on the site dashboard.
- Click on Add SSL Certificate and then Get Let’sEncrypt SSL.
- Check both domains and click to agree to the Let’sEncrypt terms and conditions.
- Click Continue and the job log will appear.
Turning on Auto Backups
- Go to the BACKUPS tab on the site dashboard.
- Then click on Configure Backups in the bottom-left of the dashboard.
- Then all you need to do is click to enable and it automatically sets up a daily backup policy and a monthly backup policy as well.
- You can also go ahead and add your own policies.
- A manual backup can also be taken with the Create Snapshot option.
Set Site Address(URL) and WordPress Address(URL) to HTTPS
- Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to Settings > General and change the URL at Site Address and WordPress Address from http to https.
- Click Save Changes and WordPress will probably need you to log in again.
- Once logged in you will see the domain has the lock icon in the browser.
Caching Option
- Go to the SETTINGS tab on the site dashboard.
- Click on Cache Settings from the right panel.
- Click to enable and caching is turned on.
- You can create exception rules and purge the cache.
Auto Scaling Option
- Go to the SETTINGS tab on the site dashboard.
- Click on Auto Scaling from the right panel.
- Click to enable and auto scaling is turned on.
